Blood Pressure Machine at the Grocery Store
September 11th, 2008 by admin
You mostly see them at drug stores and supermarkets that have a pharmacy. Many doctors are saying that the blood pressure machines at those locations are not the best place to get an accurate reading. In order to get the most accurate reading you should sit quietly for at least 5 minutes beforehand and not have any caffeine or cigarettes within a half hour of testing. The cuff should be the right size for your arm and your arm should be at the same level as your heart when taking a reading. Always check your doctor to get a second reading to make sure you get a true reading.
