I read in the paper a few days ago that a quarter of Americans have high blood pressure. That seems like a lot to me. We all know that exercise and eating well can keep your blood pressure low, but music and particular supplements can help as well. Taking some time listening to music can be very soothing and relax you. Supplements like fish oil, folic acid and garlic have all been shown in studies to improve blood pressure readings. Be aware of supplements that can be harmful, like appetite suppressants, asian ginseng and licorice. So in the spirit of high blood pressure awareness this month, try some new supplements, you may want to consult your doctor, and listen to a lot of relaxing music!
