We know that chicken soup has been widely used as a remedy for colds, studies are now showing that it may help lower blood pressure too. Chicken soup contains collagen proteins that act in the same way as ACE inhibitors normally in medications. The study gave these proteins to rats and a significant prolonged blood pressure decrease was shown. Stock up this winter, it’s sure to help with the holidays stress too!
