Cold Remedies for High Blood Pressure Sufferers
April 17th, 2009 by admin
Some over the counter cold remedies can be fairly dangerous for those who have high blood pressure. Decongestants do their job by constricting blood vessels which can result in higher blood pressure. When buying a decongestant make sure it does not have the following ingredients; pseudoemphedrine, ephedrine, phenylephrine, naphazoline, and oxymetazoline. Try using a saline spray for congestion and a pain reliever for other symptoms like a fever or sore throat. You can also drink a lot of fluids to reduce phlegm and mucus.
