Seems hard to believe! This article talks about research that was done with 49 people for 8 weeks and it showed a significant drop in blood pressure. It seems that  the large amounts of flavanols were what made all the difference. According to the professor who led the study you can eat two dark chocolate bars a day!

Hello again, Not only have I used chocolate, but go for adjustments all the time for blood pressure and etc. I guess if I didn’t go it would be a lot higher. It only takes my blood pressure down for a short time.

    Hi Carol,

The studies that have been done on dark chocolate lowering cholesterol and blood pressure used the CocoaVia bar by Mars. Apparently the Mars company specifically formulated these chocolate bars to contain plant sterols and flavanols.

As for how your Chiropractic adjustments are helping lower your blood pressure, I would be interested in what your Chiropractor says. I have a suspicion that your adjustment causes an increase in your overall relaxation and you are getting a beneficial drop in your blood pressure from this. If this is the case you can try adding a good relaxation exercise to your daily routine and you might see a longer lasting drop in your blood pressure between treatments.
