Fight High Blood Pressure with the Garden Pea
April 7th, 2009 by admin
Researchers in Canada have found that the protein that is found in garden peas can be a natural remedy for reducing blood pressure as well as chronic kidney disease. They did a study in rats, putting them on an 8=week diet of yellow garden peas. Those that had the peas had a 20 percent reduction in blood pressure compared to those who didn’t eat the peas. Researchers believe that this protein could be used as a supplement one day to prevent or delay kidney damage in people that have high blood pressure, by lowering it.
