For every 10 point increase the likelihood of thinking problem went up 7 percent. Research has shown that high diastolic blood pressure can weaken the small arteries in the brain which can cause damage. Experts say that these studies are necessary to further understand the cause and effect relationship.

    High blood pressure is also called hyper tension. When the heart pumps out blood, the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries is called blood pressure. When this pressure rises and stays high over time, this condition is called high blood pressure. High blood pressure can damage the body in many ways. One of the many ways is memory also.
