The rest on the list included, lack of physical activity, cholesterol, and high sodium. People have control of their lifestyle and can keep themselves healthy. Just avoiding those top 3 things can significantly reduce their risks of disease and death. Researchers in Canada have found that the protein that is found in garden peas can be a natural remedy for reducing blood pressure as well as chronic kidney disease. They did a study in rats, putting them on an 8=week diet of yellow garden peas. Those that had the peas had a 20 percent reduction in blood pressure compared to those who didn't eat the peas. Researchers believe that this protein could be used as a supplement one day to prevent or delay kidney damage in people that have high blood pressure, by lowering it.
